Journal entry by Deb Cannon

From Jesse's mom:

There hasn't been a lot to update about Jesse Cannon other than it is quite wonderful to have him home. We are still waiting for results and not getting ahead of ourselves. What we do know is that if things continue how they are Jesse will be readmitted on March 1 and he will undergo the chemo and radiation needed before transplant. Then, transplant will be on or around the 8th. Recovery can be a very long process so we don't know when he will be able to come home, but we know he will be hospitalized for quite a while. We are very hopeful about the entire process, but also aware of how serious it truly is. Meanwhile, he is eating homemade food, resting in his own bed, and making jokes just like he always has. He called me from his room this morning to tell me that he has a dentist appointment on Thursday at 2:30... Get it? Tooth hurty. It actually is at that time too, which made us both laugh. He needs to be cleared by a dentist and have very clean teeth before he is admitted. He is handling the treatment very well, his body is not having a lot of negative side effects. His spirit and outlook though are beautiful to behold. I love him so.
