Let me tell you about my hero.... As you may know for the last year and a half Jerry has been fighting prostrate cancer which had spread into his bones, liver, bladder, and other places.  He went through a series of chemotherapy treatments. We had hoped that it was under control, however after the first of the year our hearts sank as his numbers skyrocketed. Once again Jerry started chemotherapy infusions not once, not twice but three different times....none of the chemotherapy treatments worked.  The last chemo treatment was in pill form in which he had such a bad reaction from he landed in the hospital two different times. A couple of weeks ago at the end of the second hospital stay we learned that the cancer had traveled up his spinal cord into his skull, around the lining of his brain and a small portion into his brain. It has caused double vision so he wears a patch over one eye and he occasionally has difficulty swallowing. We are hoping the radiation treatments will correct these. 


We were given options at that time: to go on hospice or to try other treatment options. At first Jerry chose hospice but quickly realized he's not a quitter! He stopped hospice and immediately started radiation treatments. He will follow those treatments up with immunotherapy treatments. We have a couple of other naturopathic type of treatments in the works as well. 


Jerry has been such a trouper! There have been times when I didn't think he was going to pull through and yet here he is! We praise the Lord for every day and every breath we have together. He has surrounded us with an amazing. supportive family as well as wonderful, loving friends. Thank you for all your prayers, helping hands and financial support! At times we find life a little overwhelming however God shows His presence to us through His Word, and all the love you shower on us. Relationships are a precious gift to us. Thank you so much!
