Jerry’s Story

Site created on March 11, 2021

Thank you for visiting this site to check on Jerry. We have so much appreciated  every ones love and support!  I think you probably know the story of how we got here if you've followed us on facebook.  My plan is to update this page weekly, so that you will be informed as you take this walk with us.
Jerry was to start his chemo treatment on Tuesday March 9th. The port that was put in place when he had his Whipple surgery would not work. After being sent to an imaging clinic, it was determined that Jerry needed surgery to replace or repair the port. He had surgery the next day. He is sore, but healing fine.
While we were at the cancer center for the scheduled chemo, we found out that the cancer has spread to Jerry;s liver. It is now  stage four and incurable.
This is a hard pill to swallow and we are trying to adjust our hopes.  We know that the cancer in the liver was found early, and that Jerry is a strong man.
Please pray for Jerry to have strength as he fights this stupid disease, and that the chemo slows the inevitable spread.  Please pray for Jerry 's body to have the strength to endure chemo, and that his spirit feels the comfort and love of God moving through him to comfort him.
Our entire family is in shock, but we will rise up and do this together..and everyone of us appreciate every one of you. Thank you!
