Jeremy’s Story

Site created on November 8, 2016

Thank you for visiting our care site. Jeremy was born with a congenital heart defect that caused him to go into heart failure.  On August 30, 2016 we found out that Jeremy's heart failure would require a heart transplant. Jeremy was officially put on the list for our region on November 15, 2016. Jermeys health continued to decline, including multiple hospital stays, until he was admitted to the Mayo Clinic on July 21, 2017. It is nearly a year later and Jeremy finally got his donation.

As Jeremy's care taker and wife I will be using this care site to keep all of you updated in our journey.  Please feel free to ask questions, post stories of Jeremy, or even your own journey with organ transplantation .

In honour of our donor family and our family, we ask that each of you please consider registering to be a donor.  Thanks to our donor family's tough and loving decision, Jeremy will get to continue his journey. Please think of their selfless act and the impact they have had in our family.

Love,
Amanda
