Jeremy’s Story

Site created on January 10, 2024

Jeremy passed away at Dartmouth HItchcock hospital on the afternoon of January 8, 2024, his 85th birthday, with his beloved Steven cradling him in his hospital bed. Jeremy had a tragic pedestrian accident the night of Thursday, January 4, when he was hit by a truck in the square in Bellows Falls. Jeremy sustained numerous serious injuries, most significantly a severe brain trauma. The team at Dartmouth ICU did everything in their power, with Steven's encouragement, to keep Jeremy comfortable and to provide every opportunity for recovery, but sadly he succumbed to his injuries.

We’ve created this site so that people who love Jeremy can communicate messages to Steven and each other in a centralized way without Steven needing to respond to individual messages. It’s a place for Jeremy and Steven's community to gather, learn how we can help, and share our love.

Steven is home and beginning the daunting process of adjusting to this immense loss. He is grateful for your love and support. A memorial for Jeremy will be held at a time to be determined.  If you would like to send a message to Steven or leave thoughts for Jeremy's community of friends and family, please do so under the 'Well Wishes' tab. You can also send letters to: Steven Griffiths, 1916 West Road, Putney, VT 05346.

Check this site for updates on ways to support Steven going forward. Sign ups for ways you can help will be posted.
