Jenny’s Story

Site created on January 10, 2019

I'm a wife, mother, and live with Dysautonomia, Mitral Valve Prolapse, Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome, hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, Mast Cell Activation Syndrome, COPD, tachycardia, gastroparesis, sciatica and anxiety, among other things, but those are my main struggles. I love violin concertos, reading, writing, cats (I have seven, all rescues), spending time with my family, hot baths, watching movies, history, learning new things, and laughing. As I have to spend most of my time in my bed,  most of my activities are rather limited, and I get tired very VERY easily. I have a whole list of other problems, but am just categorizing them under the dysautonomia to keep it simple. There is no cure, and the only "treatment" is not very helpful. The medical community doesn't really understand these disorders much yet, so even talking to my cardiologist can be frustrating. Since I look "normal" people assume there's nothing wrong with me, but an autonomic disorder is invisible, so while I look normal, I am anything but.  I just need prayer and support.
