FALL! 😊 My favorite time of year! I feel so happy and giddy during this season! So, moving forward with my surgery. It was successful. They were able to get the tumor out with good margins. My surgeon called back with the pathology stating everything was negative. I was very excited! I’m able to move on with the recommended treatments and we are all good! Well, a couple of days later, I get a call from my oncologist, stating they had the reports back from my tumor. They found that the tumor had grown and 95% of the tumor was still cancerous. So, my treatments didn’t work basically. Because of that, they said I have Residual Disease. Their could possibly be cancerous cells floating around in my body, such as my bones and blood and can quickly metastasize. So, I will begin more treatments down the road, but not exactly what they will be. Right now, I’m getting my tissue expanders and will start treatments when I’m done. So, I won’t lie. This has been a big let down, but God brought me out of my pity party. It’s like He planned for this outcome in the Fall knowing my my spirits would be lifted. I guess I got a little impatient. He ain’t finished with me yet. My faith and strength is still in the Lord and always will be! Happy Fall Y’all! 😃
