Journal entry by Jennifer Ashley

Hello friends and family. I get asked on a regular basis about how I discovered I have cancer.  Well, for the past couple of years I’ve been experiencing some random inexplicable medical symptoms. It all started in September of 2016.  Rather than give a huge story, I’ll just create a timeline of events up until now.

9/2016

New onset nausea

10/2016

Continued nausea, vomiting, stomach discomfort, sporadic fever and chills

CT Abdomen and labwork normal

11/2016

All symptoms resolved on their own

1/2017

IUD replacement

3/2017

Diagnosed with functional depression and anxiety

Started meds: Zoloft and Wellbutrin

7/2017

Well Woman Exam, normal

Diagnosed with Type II Diabetes

Started on Metformin

10/2017

Discomfort in Right breast, headaches, nausea, sporadic chills; resolved after 24-48 hours

11/2017 thru 2/2018

Various illnesses, and ailments

Saw orthopedic surgeon for left shoulder, pain in shoulder blade, discomfort when moving in certain ways.  Received cortisol injection after x-ray doesn’t reveal anything of concern.
