Journal entry by jenn berkhahn

Good day all,

It has been a little bit since my last post, but I think this one will make up for it.  Yesterday I was informed that I am in remission.   She did caution me that because I did not have a PET scan she can't declare me in full remission.  Because insurance doesn't like to approve PET scans I have a full-body bone scan and CT.  The bone scan did show the progression of something in my bones. But since these are not designed to detect cancer it could be other things, such as arthritis. As a precaution, I opted for one last round of chemo (which is given in 2 consecutive weekly doses) just for an added boost.  The miracle is that my liver progression is completely gone and I will be treated for the bones which I already do.  So next Thursday could very well be my last dance with the dragon juice for a very long time.  I have literally been on one type of chemo or another for over 2 years so I am looking forward to the rest.  Miracles happen every single day, please believe.  Your support has been so much a part of this journey thank you.
