The one year anniversary of Jenn's accident is coming up in a few days.  Jenn received some very encouraging news last week and she asked us to make sure to share it with everyone who has cared about her over the past year.

Jenn had a video visit with Dr. Brian Edlow, Assoc. Director, Center for Neurotechnology and Neurorecovery at Mass General Hospital.   This doctor was recommended to us early on and we tried making an appointment with him last November.   August 10th was the first time he had available to meet with Jenn...more than nine months after our initial contact.

Dr. Edlow reviewed Jennifer's complete case file, including her initial brain scans and evaluation notes from August 20, 2021 and the days immediately following.  Jennifer described her current activities, including being back to work full-time and participating in Pilates and spin classes.

 

Dr. Edlow provided Jennifer a current evaluation including extensive notes in Jenn's medical record - that she can access.  He made a point to emphasize that given the severity of her accident, “Jenn’s recovery is nothing short of extraordinary”.  He recommends no new medications or interventions at this time and expects that she will continue to recover.  These words were especially meaningful and encouraging to Jenn.

Thank you for your words of concern and comfort, your prayers and gifts of time and financial resources. All of these things have helped Jennifer greatly and are a blessing to her, David and our family.
