Jennifer’s Story

Site created on August 14, 2019

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

After having some pain, increased tiredness and generally not feeling well, Jen went to Urgent Care on August 4, 2019.  After running some tests she was sent to the Emergency Room and from there she was hospitalized for a few days.  During this hospitalization it was determined that there was cancer found in her colon.  At this time there has not been a determination of what kind of cancer is present or what the treatment is going to be.  However, this cancer has affected her liver significantly and is causing her blood levels to be off in several areas and causing her significant pain.  After being home for a few days and feeling progressively worse she again went to the hospital to get some answers.  They now have sent her to Methodist Hospital in Rochester for further testing and answers on treatment.  At this time we are still awaiting results.
