Journal entry by Jennie Ward

On the treadmill. At 1.7 mph. For those of you who don't speak treadmill, this is very, very slow. I wore my slippers. But still: 1 mile! I've been veeerrrry slowly creeping the mph up, and adding distance. One more week and I'll be able to start working my left arm again (restricted due to surgery.)

We're all well. Max drove himself and Theo to a local outdoor ice rink tonight to skate with their (respective) friends. (I followed them on Find Friends. They arrived safely.) We continue to be so grateful for the meals you all are blessing us with - it really makes a difference in our whole family's sanity.

We're all still trying to make sense of the un-sense of this experience - or maybe, working on being OK that there is no sense to be found here. And like everyone else, the COVID isolation is wearing us down. We might be taking extra advantage of our new driver to help keep Theo from losing his mind, stuck in the house all day every day. It is hard to be an extrovert in a house full of introverts.

Sending you all love and gratitude. These intersecting circles of community continue to amaze and humble me.
