Jenn’s Story

Site created on September 24, 2019

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement.

My journey started in 2014 when a Acoustic Neuroma tumor was found on my balance nerve going into my inner ear canal on my left side. Since then I've been on a "watch and wait" journey of yearly MRI's and fun episodes of vertigo, balance issues and sensitivity to light and sound. This year my tumor, which I have since named Henry, has grown and it's time to evict him!

I'm scheduled for surgery October 29th, 2019 at Swedish Cherry Hill downtown Seattle. Surgery will be performed to remove Henry and also cut my balance nerve where Henry decided to camp out! I'll be in the hospital 3 to 5 days. My recovery will be anywhere from 2 to 3 months before I'm able to perform normal duties.

My husband Jeff will be posting on this site so that all can be updated easily. He is the love of my life and I couldn't ask for a better partner in life. This hasn't been easy for him either.  Many of you have offered to bring meals we sure can use the help!

Thank you all for your love and support as we walk thru this journey. Love and light to you.

And good riddance to Henry!
