Journal entry by Paula Montano —
Jeff has been continuing with his regular routine. Medications each day, therapy twice a week and adding his own therapies at home for additional strengthening and endurance. On October 1st he returned to Hoag once again for and additional, possibly the last at Hoag, chemo treatment. The nurses so kindly created this poster for him that sat in his room and they each wrote a small personal note on it. He is hoping to one day visit them all as a guest and not a patient. Words cannot describe our gratitude for everything they have done for him! The next step will be an additional treatment at City Of Hope which is quite involved. It is called a high dose chemo therapy with stem cell transplant. Jeff and I spent October 15 and 16th at City Of Hope for tests, bloodwork and classes. His organs, blood and vitals must be at acceptable levels for him to receive this treatment and so far we’re in track! He will stay at City of Hope for 2-3 weeks beginning November 5th. Please pray for his levels to remain allowing him to receive the treatment. Thank you for visiting his page!
