So very beautiful! Jean was very proud of her family and her many talents and tenderness lives on through all of you. We will always treasure our memories of the fun times we had with her and Chuck. Her hugs were truly heartfelt . . .

To Charlie and family, I got to know Jean many years ago working with her at Cathedral High School. Than 12 years ago Steve and I built a home just around the corner from them. I miss stopping in and visiting with her and Charlie. I try to stop by and visit with Charlie and bring him a supper, every few months. Every Dec. CHS has a Christmas meal for staff and retirees. The 18 of this month is the date for this year. I will miss picking up Jean and going together. I am sure there will be many memories shared that day. Jean was truly a wonderful friend, wife, mother and grandmother. I will miss her always. Cathie

Thanks for sharing the memories of a truly amazing woman. I had a dream a week or so ago and in it I was sitting next to Grandma Nola and Aunt Jean at a table full of relatives. There was happy chatter and conversations going on al around and I was talking to them and they were both listening attentively to me and looking at me as I spoke. They were genuinely interested in what I was saying and I felt special and loved. It's how I always felt when I was around either of them. No matter how many people were looking for their attention, they always had time for me and for that I am forever grateful.

Way to celebrate Jean's life! We appreciate she valued and honored her "baby" brother during her cancer journey. It was so wonderful to reconnect in very personal and emotional time. Dave teased her about being a pest, just like when he was young and she would laugh whole-heartedly----and agree! Miss her! Thank you for including us in your lives.

Thank you for this wonderful post. Love, love, love all these memories! Thank you for sharing, and after all these many many years of knowing your family, I had no idea pancakes were a regular on the weekends at your place. I am in! Thank you, Aunt Jean, for planting yet another simple but incredibly powerful idea that brings together a family and celebrates life!

Aunt Jean was the closest thing to a second mom I had. She reminded me so much of grandma Nola and her calm and present disposition is something I always admired. She was quick to smile and quick to offer a hug and word of kindness. Like many other comments I remember pancake Saturdays on the weekends I stayed overnight with Maria. I make pancakes every Saturday in our house now. And I think of her then and many other times as well. Over the past few weeks she’s been in my dreams a lot and she’s smiling and content. She is watching and with us. I miss her and hope to live a little like her as I go through life. ❤️

Such beautiful tributes and memories! Thank you for posting. Your family has been on my mind the past couple days. I think I’ll make some pancakes and play some Scrabble to honor your memories of her ❤️
