Dear Jean-Pierre and Gretel, I am late coming to this site and catching up on the news, in large part because I’ve been going through a very similar situation with my mother. She had a stroke in early March and was in rehab for nearly 10 weeks - through the most fearful days of Covid-19 here. As mom is the primary carer of my father these days the wheels fell off all round and it has been a difficult period for our family. But we’ve made it through the worst now and she is recovering. As, I am pleased to hear, you are. Great news. Australia has been very fortunate with the pandemic and we seem to have escaped the worst of it. Of course many reasons for that and as I currently work in the Federal Health Department, I can say, not for a lack of very hard work from many. My diary tells me this was the weekend I was going to be in Ithaca with you both, and all the gang. I was so very much looking forward to that. The first trip back in many years. I do hope we can reschedule soon. Sending my very best wishes to you both, and all the readers of this blog. Stay safe and well. Lisa
