Dear Friends and Family,
I have great news after my visit yesterday with my oncologist, Dr. Weber. No more chemo! She explained with my age and experience of side effects with each chemo I have had enough with 8 chemo's. She is working at getting me on a pill that will do the work similar to chemo as a follow-up. It is a new pill, very expensive, but she thinks will be beneficial to me.
She also mentioned that my hemoglobin level was very low and I needed to get a unit of blood. I was sent over to St. Mary's Hospital and received the unit, plus lunch at 4:00 pm.
Thanks to everyone for the continued calls, cards and wishes. I am looking forward to a new phase of my cancer treatment!
