This may be a strange message. I hope I'm reaching Rhonda. I was a friend and teammate of you father's both at Thornridge HS and University of Michigan. I don't know what compelled me to try to look up you father today, but I did and I'm so sorry to learn of his passing. Jay and I did not stay close after I left Michigan my Junior year, and I know your Dad left the year after I did. I both had the same take on big time college football - it wasn't for us. He was a sweet man and a good friend early in my life. I'm sorry for your loss and I wish you and your family all good things. Mark McClain

We are continuing to pray for you and your family for comfort and joy in the midst of sorrow and for all the details that are needing to be attended to. We will be with you in spirit. So sad that we are unable to travel at this time to be with you in body. I love you Rhonda!

Jay was the kindest man anyone would ever want to know. He had a gentle way of talking and his intelligence was apparent when engaged in conversation with you. He will truly be missed.
