Dear Lyn,
I was doing some Facebook wandering, dug deeper, and found this. I am so sorry for your loss. Your family looks wonderful, and I am sorry that they have lost their father. Take care.
I have no idea how I stumbled upon this website today. I was devastated to see that Jay, a student of mine in Spanish for two years at Brother Rice High School, had passed away. I will always remember his sweet smile, personality, and aptitude for language. May God bless you in your sorrow and forever hold Jay in the hollow of His hands.
Hello, thank you so much for publishing these beautiful tributes.
This way I can continue to embrace them. I hope you are all doing as well as possible. Take care of your Mom, she needs a hug.
Thank you so much for sharing your words and thoughts here. Lionel and I were out of town and had to miss the celebration at the Basilica. I heard from several people how moving the service was, and how packed was the space. That is fitting. Your father touched so many people in his all-too-brief sojourn among us. We send our ongoing condolences, and also gratitude for sharing your Jay with all of us. May his memory continue to be a blessing for you and for all int the world who remember him.
Thank you for sharing these beautiful comments. And Maria - I often had your dad speak in my classes about empowerment and he always used the example of teaching his daughter to ride a bike. He would light up as he talked about the look of joy and pride that would come over your face when you sailed down that hill!
