Jaxon Jeffery Restad was born on September 29, 2004 at 12:29 a.m. He weighed 2 lbs, 3 ounces. He was born 14 weeks early.

He proved from the very beginning that he was a fighter! He fought the war against prematurity and even inadequate doctors.

Jaxon is entering the Fairview Children's Hospital for a nephrectomy - removal of the kidney. His surgery is scheduled for Monday, December 3rd, 2007 at 11:40 a.m.

We are hoping that the removal of this kidney will have a positive effect to his severely high blood pressure and, ultimately, we can remove some of the medications that he is currently taking that are causing some not-so-nice side effects...

(We expect to get out of here within the next hour and, let me tell you, that hour can’t pass quick enough for us!  It will probably be a quiet weekend at home and Jaxon will need to take it easy for awhile but I’m sure that being HOME will help to soothe a lot of his wounds!  Thank you all for your prayers.  Amy)
