Journal entry by Heather Simpson —
Javier was discharged this afternoon and is home and resting. It will still take some time to recover, they estimate a couple of months before he can resume all normal activities.
For now, we are happy to be able to sleep in our comfortable bed without the midnight and 3:00 am nurse check ins. That being said, we are so grateful for the wonderful care he received at both Kaiser and St. Agnes.
Thank you all for your continued prayers, love, and support for the both of us. We are grateful to God for the successful procedure and the healing that has taken place. This experience has not only shown us the areas where we need to make changes physically, but has helped us both to grow spiritually.
