Journal entry by Carole Bradley —
Thank you for your prayers, your encouraging words and love for Jason and his family.
We are thankful that our Father is always working. We believe He is healing and doing even greater things.
From the look at Jason’s heart yesterday, they are observing a thickening on the heart wall of the mitral valve. They want to monitor his heart more closely, and are moving him to the cardiac unit of the hospital. A few days ago they did an echocardiogram, and will do another after a week and compare all of these observations. The echocardiogram did not indicate abnormalities. Jason has a low resting heart rate. (like his dad, and because he regularly runs.)
The swelling is better, but not gone. His blood is still testing positive for staph bacteria. He continues to receive antibiotics and steroids.
Jason’s hearing has improved considerably. He can hear his dad from 12” away. Women’s voices are higher so he is able to hear them a little further away. I had to ask Scott if he had experimented with a falsetto and I was delighted to hear that he had and they had a good laugh doing so.
Kathy, Jenny’s mom is arriving today to stay with the family. So thankful she is!
We ask for blessings of rest, sleep, faith, hope and humor for the entire family. Thank you for praying with us.
A $25 donation to CaringBridge powers a site like Scott & Jenny's for two weeks. Will you make a gift to help ensure that this site stays online for them and for you?
