Journal entry by Mandie Osborne —
Thought I would do a little update on Jason and I. He had chemo today! He has some bad days and some good days. He will have a scan in about 2 1/2 weeks to check and see if chemo is working. Prayers that it has shrunk the many tumors he has!!
I ended up in the ER on April 29th. I was having chest pain that was going into my shoulder. Heart has been fluttering and sometimes just feeling like it’s pounding and racing. So after Jason convinced me to go have it checked I went to Urgent Care. They did an EKG and said it was different than my prior ones I have had and sent to me to the ER. They did another one, gave me 3 nitroglycerin. Did a chest X-ray and blood work. The made sure it wasn’t a heart attach and after a few hours sent me home to follow up with my doctor. I went in yesterday as I’ve still been having issues.
She did an exam and manually checked my aorta and said she is very concerned because it feels enlarged! So she has ordered a ton of tests! I will be having: ultrasound next Friday, and waiting to schedule an echocardiogram, stress test, cholesterol screening and a 48 hour monitor. Praying that it’s not what she’s thinking. Trying to just take it easy and keep stress down while I wait to see what’s going on.
Thank you again to all who have been so supportive and the private check in’s!! It means so very much to us to know we have you rooting for us!
