Update #9

Jared has been at Baylor Neuro Transitional Center for two weeks now, and he is doing much better. They have assigned a discharge date of September 2. His physical injuries have healed nicely. Today he was released from the walker!  Now all that is left is the neuro side of things, and that is of course their speciality. The goal of Baylor NTC is to improve to the point of independence, being able to not only live on his own, but to handle all of his affairs as well as hold a job. These are things he still needs help with, and they just take time. The short term memory and coordination, moving quickly from one idea / thought to the next like you have to do on a job are things they are working on. He calls me just about every day, and has been in good spirits. I have told him about all of your prayers and comments, messages, cards, and gifts and it brings him to tears! 

Today, I was allowed to see him for the first time in almost a month! It was only through the window talking on the phone, but I got to lay eyes on my child! I was so happy to see his face! He looks so good! Now that we can see him we will he able to give him the cards you sent. His dad has been keeping them at his house.
