Hi Jared! It was really great seeing you out at Freedom Park! I enjoyed talking to you and remembering times when i worked at the pool there at Chickahominy. I am happy to hear that you are back working and keeping Chickahominy Park clean! You always were a hard worker! Keep it up! Hope to see you again soon! Terry

Cathy, I just happened to find this post. You do such a fabulous job writing all the joys and feelings of yours and your family’s! Jared has come such a very, very long way since the accident that I first learned of in the online JMU Breeze. As a JMU alumni I Yorktown I immediately took an interest in his progress! You and his Drs and friends have encouraged him to be the remarkable young man he has become!
As another means for him to express his thoughts and feelings some people can do so by drawing. It doesn’t have to be fancy drawing to convey feelings.
You may have done this in the past, but is there a Feelings Chart or poster that he can point to when either he can’t say them clearly or the family can’t understand him? As a former school counselor (am retired) those things do exist!
Prayers for his continued progress and joys to celebrate!
Go Dukes! Sandy

Cathy, looking forward to seeing you and the family at church soon. Now that the 5:30 PM service in YT has been placed on hold, Beth and I are anxious to come visit your church and see Jared and our littles. Always a pleasure to see Jared at church; his smile just lights up the whole place.
