We are using this site to keep everyone updated on Mom’s status. She was admitted to st. Thomas West Hospital In Nashville on June 22nd due to multiple issues, including: complicated infection in bone of Left foot after surgery in May, heart issues, all complicated by diabetes and low blood pressure. We will post updates here to keep everyone informed. We are grateful Mom has so many who care about her and love her. She is fighting hard and the staff here are among the best cardiac staff in the country and are taking excellent care of her. She is in good hands:)

Journal entry by Debbie Millman

Mom’s funeral service today was truly a celebration of her life. We told stories of people she impacted and the many ways she made us laugh. My beautiful niece, Katelynn sang “Our Father” and I know Mom loved it. My son, Josh and nephew, Dominic led us in signing Amazing Grace. Mark Millman really honored Mom and God with his message and Words of Life.   Pastor Len Hendrix of Covenant Presbyterian, who was very present with our family through mom’s illness and after her passing, shared some powerful scriptures and led us at the graveside service. Some of Harold’s adult  children made the trip from Florida to come up and remember Mom with us. My sweet niece, Melinda also made the trek from Florida as well as my brother, Jay. We were so encouraged by how many came from far and wide to be with us on this special day. We had a beautiful dinner lakeside out at the UTSI campus dining hall. Mom would’ve loved it.

We are honored and grateful for how many have followed mom’s caring bridge page. It has been an encouragement to us and a reminder that we’re not alone.
