Had another scare.  Our electric went out!  And the at home oxygen compressor runs on electric.  Therefore, no oxygen.  Thank God, Lincare gave me a huge 5 hours tank & I was able to put on the regulator using my one & only flashlight.  And thank God, I was able to reach out to the electric company through my half-charged cell phone.
Frightening!!
Now to prepare for the next outrage.  Keep the cell phone charged and see if I can get 2 5 hour tanks.  
If I had been on a portable, the battery might have run out in 2 hours.
No plan is perfect.  I am just thankful to have weathered the solar storm.  It's said that there will be lots in the next 2 years.
Leslie has gone 4 years in oxygen, but most only make 2.  But I am still very thankful.  When I pass out, it's an ER Visit & a total body scan.  The latest shows cerebral atrophy.  The scan looks like Homer Simpson's brain. I, and two bad disks in my neck.  Thank God, I'm not in pain yet.  Thank God, when I fell, I didn't break my neck.
