Hello,
Just a quick update.
Jan had her 4th and final dose of the heavy hitting chemo drug. Aug. 3rd she starts her weekly regiment of a less drug with less negative side effects for 6 weeks. She will be finishing some time in Oct. barring any unforeseen events. She has needed 2 blood transfusions so far because of a low red blood cell count. She feels very peppy afterwards. We are praying she doesn't need any more. She also had the last dose of the Nulasta yesterday. This drug encourages white cell production after the old chemo treatments.
We saw the surgeon this week. When she tried palpating the tumor, she had a very hard time finding it! To get an accurate measurement of the tumor, the Dr. used an ultrasound machine. The mass shrunk from 7cm to 1.4cm! Praise the Lord!!! Surgery may be as early as November.
The doctors and staff that Jan has met and has been working with are amazing! The most qualified, patient, encouraging and friendly group of people you'd ever want to meet.
Prayer Requests:
Pray for Jan's family that they would stay healthy.
