Hi Jan,
I sure wish I could have visited by now, but with the death of Rachel's dad and Christmas approaching, it has been a struggle to get anywhere. There are tons of excuses, but I trust our friendship and I know that you understand if I could be with you right now, I would be. Everything seems so different this Christmas in so many respects. I know it has been very different for you and I wish I could magically take away all that you have through, but some of it has been good too. You have an improved heart and you've had tons of family to love and care for you. It's hard to look on the bright side sometimes and you have had lots of dark side too, but we are all hoping and praying for a big breakthrough for you concerning those low counts of yours. I'm so glad that you have lots of friends around now that you are home. There truly is no place like home. That is your biggest gift for Christmas. We'll visit as soon as we can. Love you so much and Merry Christmas from both of us.
