Janet’s Story

Site created on August 25, 2018

It is with a heavy, yet joyful heart that I share the next chapter of my life.  I have always taken the "road less traveled," so this is nothing new to me.  I will be seeing all of you;  some where, someplace, and I look forward to each of those encounters.  Make the most of life in every moment you have.  Love You, Janet

Journal entry by Kristen Bernacki

Our mom passed away this afternoon.

For those of you who knew mommy, her life’s work was in elder justice. Seems apropos she passed on MLK day!

What Kelly and I will remember most about our mom is that she was always there for us when we needed her the most. Her support during these times were priceless.

My mom did not want any calling hours or  funeral services. She wanted a celebration of her life in Rochester when it was nice and warm. Kelly and I are planning this (most likely in August and at the recreation center she lived close to in Fairport, NY).  We will update as we firm up plans.

RIP Mommy. Love you forever and always. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
