Jan’s Story

Site created on July 24, 2019

We all know Jan is compassionate, loving, kind, creative, gentle, witty and humble. However, now we are learning much about her determination, concentration, articulation, and fighting abilities.

On July 19, 2019 Jan arrived at one of her favorite places, the family cabin on Half Moon Lake. The severe storm that affected the west central WI area that evening also affected Jan. It is, and probably always will be, a bit of a mystery as to what actually happened. Jan was electrocuted when she exited her car at the same time as an overhead power line was downed by a large tree branch. Jan is at Regions Hospital’s Burn Center in St. Paul, MN in critical condition. She will be undergoing many surgeries in the near future.

On a positive note, Mom continues to prove she is a determined fighter. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you for your love and support.

All our love back to you,
Cara, Emily, and Katy
