Tears streamed down my face as I read your tribute to Janelle. I want to offer some profound words that will give you peace, but I have none of my own. Instead I'll share God's promise.
Isaiah 41:13
For I am the Lord, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.
Janelle was simply amazing and she was definitely one of God's gifts to us! I look forward to meeting her in Christ's presence one day. In the meantime, we're praying God's peace over you.
Come visit us in Colorado.

No "words of wisdom" beyond in due time that peace that passes all understanding will be yours again. Often I remember Patsy dealing with her grief after Danny "going home." I think she actually had an engineer's mind...she wanted details, exact details...it mattered to her...not the way I think I'd deal with a grief of that depth. But a God given grace was given me to be there for her, to listen, to cry, to laugh, to add to her heart rock collection--"funny" how as we walked and visited intentionally looking for heart rocks she always found one that triggered a sweet spirit evidenced by a sweet smile that reassured me she was okay, not good, but okay and peace that passed understanding was hers again. In due time...

Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts and story about your life with Janelle. I am so sorry I was unable to go to the memorial as I was out of town, but reading this gave me a chance to hear what I missed. I am thankful that we were able to share some of the sports adventures with our son Zach and your sons. Great memories and I am thankful that I was able to meet and share some of those times with Janelle. My prayers and thoughts are with you and your family. She will be greatly missed❤❤❤

David, those were amazing words and memories. I know we didn’t stay in touch but you all have been in my thoughts and prayers through this horrific journey. I first met Janelle in elementary school. Being new to Portales, she made me feel welcome. I also remember those rebellious years. I was there along side of her through many of those. I remember when she had told me she this guy from Roswell in the computer lab. She was so excited to meet someone with the same interests. I will always hold my memories of my time with Janelle dear. I continue to pray for you during this unbelievably difficult time. God be with you and your family.

David, this is so beautiful. I will pray for God to shine his face on you, and have you feel his love, and the peace he gives, that is indeed remarkable, and does indeed surpass all understanding. A simple faith is right. All He asks is to have a faith, even the size of a mustard seed. Continued prayers for you and family. 🙏
