Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.
Jana journey started in February. She went in for her yearly exams and let the doctors know that she felt something and her arm pit hurts. In addition to the mammogram they ordered an ultrasound and told her that it was nothing. Months past and the lumps were growing. Jana went back in July knowing something was wrong, After mammograms, ultrasounds, and biopsy she got the dreaded phone call... You have breast cancer. Jana was diagnosed with Stage 1, Grade 3 Triple Negative Breast Cancer.  With this diagnosis she was referred over to oncology. Triple negative responds better to chemo first and then surgery. The doctor there had several more test done including a PET scan. That test reveled that there are also two tumors in her pelvis area. Jana is now in the process of getting those biopsy to see staging and whether or not this cancer is the breast cancer metastasizing or a new cancer. She will also get tested from the BRCA genes.
Jana will have a long road ahead of her with chemo and several surgeries. We will try to keep this page updated as much as possible. Please keep Jana and her family in your prayers!

Jana was able to do her next round of chemo today. Doxorubicin..aka...the red devil.... or what our family likes to call it the red angel. It went well and fast compared to the prior chemos. Now lets hope she is able to do it again on the 21st. ONLY TWO MORE LEFT!!!!
