James C. Perry, 88 of Jeromesville, OH, peacefully passed away in his sleep Monday October 31, 2022 at his residence. James was born to Elmer and Pearl (Nunley) Perry Sr.  October 14, 1934 in Mansfield, OH.

 

James was a U.S. Army Veteran and later worked as an upholsterer for National Seating in Mansfield for many years. James was a member of The World-Wide Church of God.

He is survived by his son, James and his wife “Charlie” S. Perry of Perrysburg, OH; their daughters Alysa and Andrea Parmelee of (Los Angeles, CA), sisters Pauline Kline and Norma Selvage; both of Jeromesville, nephews and nieces – Susan Nixon, Tim Schaeffer, Valerie Hall, Dottie DeWulf, Debbie Stull, April Bright, Alice “Allie” Hothem, Diane Garlough, Pam Trbovich, Tom Selvage, Doug Selvage, and Lisa Kelly.


He was preceded in death by the one true love of his life, Toni Ferguson; his

brothers Elmer “Junior” Perry, David Perry, Robert Perry, and his sisters Shirley Trummer, Janice Hothem, Thelma Holmes.

Viewing – Friday, November 18, 2022, from 10:00 am – 11:00 am @ Fickes Funeral Home, 84 North High Street, Jeromesville, OH 44840, 419-368-6011

Funeral – Friday, November 18 immediately following the viewing @ 11:00 am @ Fickes Funeral Home
Pastor Sue Chidley, Jeromesville United Methodist Church – Prayers and Final Thoughts

Reception – Friday, November 18, immediately following the funeral at Jeromesville United Methodist Church, 40 North St. Jeromesville, OH 44840. 419-368-7272. Since the church and the funeral home are 900 feet apart we should have an easy time finding the church.

Burial – Church of the Brethren Cemetery which is the old Dunkard Cemetery – Dad will be buried beside his mother Pearl. We will have a graveside ceremony for those that can attend at approximately 2:30pm. Directions will be given at the Church Reception.

Evening Reception – We will be holding a reception and dinner for family, friends, to visit and share memories at The Brown Derby Roadhouse, 3985 Park Ave W, Ontario, OH 44906. Phone: (419) 529-2959. Just let one of us know so we can reserve enough seats – family and friends are welcome.
