James’s Story

On April 3, 2021, my dad, James Deola, was in a serious car accident with his 8-year partner and friend, Barbara Wulffen. My dad has a broken sternum but is otherwise stable and is being cared for at Cooper Hospital. I am so sorry to say that Barbara didn't make it.

We are using this CaringBridge site to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

Quick update - my dad is being discharged today after all. The hospital hasn't been very communicative, so I just found out as they're moving him to the discharge tent. I'm driving to NJ, and Christina will pick him up. If you're the praying sort, pray for this transition.
