James’s Story

Site created on March 15, 2018

On February 21, Dad fell on the ice and we thought he had some cracked ribs, so the Dr. prescribed some pain medication over the phone. After a week and a half, his pain from the fall was better, but he often said he was tired and slept a lot. After some incidences of mild confusion, we took him off the pain meds, thinking they were the cause. However, there was no sign of improvement and excessive sleeping continued, so he got an appointment in Sabetha. We found that he did have four cracked ribs that are healing, but after a CT scan to check for head injury, a tumor was found in his brain.
