My sincere condolences to the whole family. I was shocked and saddened when I heard the news. I worked with Jimmy for a few years at Grace Digital and when he was at DCI. Such a great guy who always left such a positive impression on me. I'm so sorry that you have to go through this loss and I pray that you will find comfort.

Caleigh and Eliza, I thought no one could ever love you more fiercely in a tragically abbreviated time on this earth than Lyndsay- but then there was Daddy Jimmy! You all have always been deeply loved by your big hearted Dad. Jimmy was such a force for fun in our Alexandria neighborhood - hospitable to all in Louisiana fashion. He always made sure his guests were having a good time- he introduced me to tossing my salad with my hands , folding from the bowl inward and had these crazy ideas about deep frying turkey and all sorts of delectables on the grill. He threw great rager birthday parties for your mom! Most of all, we loved the friendship of your family and raising you little ones together in our village! We loved your parents, and we love you girls so much, too! Kathy,, Rocky,’Ginna,, and Hannah

From the day Jimbo was a newborn, he brought love into all of our lives. Everyone was drawn to those big brown eyes and hysterical personality. The family would attend his Little league baseball games, as he was ready to bat, we would all yell “go go Balsamo” Jimbo would turn and look at us shaking his head, not sure if it was embarrassment or we were aggravating him!! The time went by too quickly, thru High School, (Riverdale) to his days in college (Southeastern Louisiana University) onto days and travels at PVS in Washington, marriage to Lyndsay and bringing Cales and Lu-Lu into this crazy world (having the honor of being a Godmother to Eliza). The move to Richmond, brought grief and sadness into the Balsamo/Bowie/ Grevemberg family. Finally the sun shined down on Jimmy when he met Laura and started living again. So many more memories that I will hold in my hurting heart and thoughts.
Till we meet again Jimbo Love you more!

Dear Caleigh & Eliza, I am so sorry for your loss and wish you two didn’t have to be so strong. Any one who knew your Dad has memories that make them laugh out loud! I hope all of the memories and love sent your way will help you sweet girls to deal with the pain and sadness. You don’t have to be strong all the time. Please know that everyone on this site is there for you both. Love to you both from the Peterson’s! Maureen & Dwight Erin, Brittany, Morgan and Jessica. ❤️
