Well, Katie, your love for and dedication to Erika's--and your--beautiful family is truly inspiring. It appears that Sam has chosen extremely well...twice.

I don't know if anyone has mentioned this to you, Katie, but the whole HCA staff got together for Thanksgiving prayer. Mrs. Zachay mentioned that she and Julie (another co-worker) had both battled--and won the fight--against lymphoma. She said she is convicted that Jake will win this battle, too. Another HCA dad, Dan Williams, has survived the same, and continues to pray. It is amazing how your story reaches so many. You are amazing examples to everyone whose lives you touch. The Lord is using your experience mightily.

You don't know me but I met Mary through a Compassionate Friends meeting in Alexandria and her & Jeff used attend the church I have been a member of for years. My prayers are with you all today and for the continued fight for Jake! Blessing to you all!
