Journal entry by Shelley Russ

Jake posted this on his Facebook page a couple of days ago, I wanted to share it with anyone who hasn't seen it:

One year ago today, Friday the 13th of December. I was told I had a tennis ball sized tumor in my head. There were so many questions and really no answers. Thanks to Seattle Cancer Care Alliance and their amazing team, I’m able to write this post to you today. But not only them. I wouldn’t be where I am now if it weren’t for the loving and caring of Opal Harbert, Robin Harmon, Darin Jensen, their families and many others. You all took care of me when I needed it most and I will never forget what you have done for me. I can’t tell you how amazing it is to take a deep breath of fresh air into my lungs on this crazy day. And I’m looking forward to many more days spent with all of you. I love you all deeply, thank you.
