Thank you for this update. I am sorry she had to be hospitalized again but I do hope the medical staff can get to the bottom of this. Yes, I would agree that nutrition is a big part of this. Maybe a feeding tube would help her "over the bump" towards real healing. Thank you, Kris and Lisa, for being there for your folks and helping them make sense of all of this. It is very overwhelming. Prayers for appetite to return, for strength, and for ultimate healing.

Thank you SO much Kris for the update! Glad that she was able to get admitted to have the fluid removed by an interventional radiologist (that's what our son Landon, who is currently training as a PGI Radiology resident in CT, did at Sanford when he was there training a year ago. A wonderful alternative to surgery). She would've never gotten better on her own. And, yes, I will pray for her to receive the much needed nutrition to gain back some strength and begin to feel like herself again! I will also keep you and your family in my prayers too as this has all been quite overwhelming and even harder when you can't physically be there with her. Know that she is very well taken care of right now! Please tell her hello from us and that we love her.

You are all doing an amazing job! Hang in there. If there is depression, maybe she needs a lift with an antidepressant. Thinking of you all and praying things get better.
