Jacquelyn’s Story

Site created on November 17, 2021

From Justina Nadolson ~ My sister Jacque Thomas was diagnosed with cancer on November 8. She has a rare form of non-Hodgkins lymphoma (a blood cancer) called Waldenstrom. This cancer is not curable, but it is treatable and manageable. She will begin a 6-month chemo course on November 29, 2021.

Jacque is married to Jerry and has two sons, Jaden and Jackson.

There will be a lot of needs coming up, first and foremost prayer for her to respond well to treatment and for the doctors to have wisdom in treating her case.

We welcome you to follow her journey here on Caring Bridge and you can subscribe to get automatic updates.

Newest Update

Journal entry by Jacquelyn Thomas

I haven’t posted for awhile regarding my cancer, so wanted to give an update. I am still receiving IVIG Infusions each month as my immune system has still not recovered from chemo. They seem to help, but make me feel sick for a few days afterwards. The doctor explained that my body thinks it is a foreign substance and does a little “fighting within.”

At my last appointment, my doctor mentioned that my numbers have headed in the wrong direction, so more chemo may be needed, but she wants to wait and see what they do over the next few months.  I am praying that it is just a “blip” and the numbers will remain stable.

Next month will be the 2 year anniversary of my diagnosis. I want to thank everyone that has loved and supported me through this, it certainly has not been an easy road, but I am alive, and for that I am thankful.
