Update on Jack from Steve
5:13 PM
Jack was discharged from Shepherd Rehab hospital on
1/3/2022 and returned home that day. We will return to
Atlanta on 1/18/2022 for 3 - 4 weeks of additional
outpatient physical, occupational and speech therapy.
He is walking and talking well but we want to take
advantage of all the therapy that Shepherd offers to get
him as fully recovered as possible. With the outpatient
therapy, we can return home on weekends, and we will
not be in the Covid restricted hospital (we will be in an
apartment in Atlanta). Jack also has a surgical procedure
scheduled for the first week of February to fuse two
vertebrae that were injured in the accident. Overall, our
progress has been amazing, and we hope to be
completely home by the end of February. Thank you to
everyone for your kindness, generosity, your thoughts
and most importantly all your prayers (they have worked
and continue to work). Our family is so thankful for all
the healthcare providers that have been amazing and for
all of our friends who have shown us so much support.
To everyone, life can throw you a curve ball when you
least expect it so cherish your friends and family
everyday and keep everything in perspective. And never
doubt the power of prayer!!
