Jack’s Story

Site created on September 13, 2021

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.  As many of you know our Dad has been an extremely active 93 year old.  He loves going out and socializing and has been extremely independent.  Last Thursday night, September 9th he fell in his home.  He broke his femur (thigh bone) and a vertebrae in his back and was sent to Barnes hospital for surgery.  He underwent surgery for his leg and his back on Friday September 10th.

Journal entry by Angela Piquard

Dad has been at Holly Brook assisted Care in Belleville for about a week and a half. He continues to get stronger and stronger. Thanks to all of the visitors, cards and phone calls. He has been to St Clair CC for almost every lunch and dinner. He will be at Holly Brook until around Thanksgiving and if all goes well, home.   I will sign off now but Dad, Shelley and I thank all of you for helping us through this!  I never would have thought we would have such a positive outcome!
