Newest Update

Journal entry by Jackie Eyberg β€”

Hello everyone!

It has been a long time since I have posted anything on my Caring Bridge site, so I thought I would give you all an update on my life for those that want to hear about it.:)

I began teaching full time again this past fall and am loving being back in first grade! First grade is my passion and I love teaching reading. I have a wonderful class this year and am so blessed to be teaching at Christian Heritage Academy and have my kids go there too.

My passion in reading drove me to finish my Reading Teaching License this month. I submitted my last assignment on Sunday and now will take my Reading Teaching License test in January. I am excited to add this license onto my teaching degree and to help my students with their reading needs.Β

Tomorrow I have my port removal scheduled for 9am. This is the final piece of my cancer journey! I have had my port since February of 2020. I am excited to get it out of me and to be done with chemo and cancer. The scar and the other scars on my body are a reminder of what I have been through in the last almost two years. I knew it would be a long journey but in some ways it went so fast.

God has taught me so much about myself and how to draw closer to Him when things are hard. I have learned to trust and to put my life in His hands. He holds the numbers of our days and to Him I am forever grateful that I am healed and have no more cancer left in my body. I am believing that! I put my faith in Jesus now and always, even when I have some fears that it might come back.

I was reminded of this verse:Β  "Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see." Hebrews 11:1

I continue to have FAITH over FEAR and have the confidence in CHRIST that I am done with CANCER. I am ready to move on past cancer and to live my life without fear of the future. I am excited to keep trying new things, to challenge myself in new ways and to grow in my FAITH.Β

This Christmas I hope your FAITH will be renewed in the birth of the baby Jesus our Savior. He came so we may have life and have it abundantly!! I pray you have more JOY, PEACE, LOVE and that you can share it with others!

I am enjoying some time off from teaching and assignments this week and spending lots of time with my children. We are looking forward to spending time with family in Arkansas this Christmas. I pray you all enjoy this time with your families and see the WONDER of Christmas through the eyes of a child.

Thank you for your prayers on this last surgery for me! It should be a quick procedure and I should be home by noon tomorrow. Thank you to my parents who are coming to watch the kids since Josh is working at FedEx. Thank you to my friends, family and CHA family that have loved and supported me through it all! I am eternally grateful and blessed!

Merry CHRISTmas and I hope you have more FAITH over FEAR in the NEW YEAR!!

"For God so loved the world that He gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life."Β  John 3:16

Love,
Jackie
