Jack’s Story

Site created on July 4, 2023

While recovering from surgery for endocarditis, open heart surgery, and mitral valve replacement, Jack suffered a hemorrhagic stroke.

Unfortunately, Jack was not able to recover after a fever hit and fluid began to build up. Multiple things were tried and avenues tested but we weren't able to get back to any of the reactivity we saw earlier in the week. On July 7th, he was declared brain dead by clinical test.

Thank you all for your love and support - Jack, Deb, Cheryl, and all of the rest of us appreciate it and will continue to appreciate it going forward through these hard times.

I'll continue updating this as we put together plans going forward.
