Isaac ’s Story

Site created on November 19, 2020

Isaac was involved in an accident on Monday evening 11/16/2020 while riding home from work on a skateboard. A vehicle did not see him. He is at Barrow Neurological Institute at St. Joseph’s in Phoenix. He has head trauma, multiple facial fractures and lacerations, and damage to his left eye. We are waiting for the team of surgeons for the plan for surgery. Please pray for wisdom and skill for the surgeons, strength for us as parents, and Isaac to use his strong will that he was born with for healing and recovery. Pray also for Isaac’s friend who was with him at the time of the accident.

Currently, he is stable, sedated, and on a ventilator. COVID restrictions prohibit visitors.

Thanks for your prayers and support.

Journal entry by Peggy Hocutt

Isaac is continuing to make progress. We are getting great care through Barrow's Neurological Rehab with a goal of returning to driving safely. He was able to use the driving simulator this afternoon and did very well. His hands are improving and he has adapted very well. He continues to have a positive outlook despite his limitations.  Thank you for continuing to support Isaac and our family with your prayers. We really appreciate it!
