Thanks Jay and Radeana ( sorry for spelling), and your family, Brent, Peter and his family, and "last but not least" Ken,
God is gripping your hands very tightly. He won't ever let go of your hands. He sees you like he saw Hagar in the desert, Genesis 16:7 - 16. Hagar said "You are the God who sees me"
Ken, and all, know that God sees your pain and grief...I am praying for you and look forward to Irene's celebration, whenever it may be.
Numbers 6:24 - 26 "The LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make His face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the LORD turn His face toward you and give you PEACE." God told Moses and Aaron to bless the people in this way.
My thoughts and prayers go out to you and the rest of your family in terms of having to make this very difficult decision. It's probably the right decision in not wanting to put anyone at risk.
Dear Edgar family ~ Praying God's peace upon you all, as you make this really hard decision. So thankful God is truly in control, even when we can't see the whole story unfolding. And yet ~ I cannot imagine the ache in your hearts - especially Ken's - in this season of grief and needing to come together and not being able to, at this time. Continuing to lift you all in prayer - with thanksgiving presenting these needs to God and trusting that His peace, which passes ALL understanding will guard your hearts and your minds, in Christ Jesus. Love to you all ~ Joan and Blaine
Dear Ken, Jay, Brent, Peter and your families--How very sad and difficult to bear! Losing Irene is sad in itself. Being unable to engage in a memorial service to her is an additional "loss." At the same time, I appreciate your honesty, courage and consideration toward our entire community by postponing this event. My deep prayers for you today are that our loving savior will give you extraordinary peace and comfort at this time. I include prayers for Irene's extended family of Pettingill sisters, their families, and Edgar relatives as well.
I am sure that our great Heavenly Father will find ways of bringing blessings out of even this loss.
Oh, Jay, so sorry about this but certainly see the need to postpone. We will be praying for Ken sespecially but for all of you. Thank you for keeping us posted.
