Irena’s Story

Welcome to our friends and family. We created this CaringBridge page to help keep everyone updated on Irena's health. She was diagnosed with congestive heart failure many years ago, however, her health has declined more significantly in the last year, leading to supportive oxygen and reduced mobility. She is currently living at Sholom Home East in Saint Paul so she can receive the care and support she needs. In July, it was determined that she would benefit from hospice services to help her feel more comfortable. For those unfamiliar, hospice care focuses on the care, comfort, and quality of life of a person with a serious illness that is no longer seeking treatment for that illness.

Obituary and Services Reminder

Thank you again to all those who have supported my mom and our family through all these years. Today, her obituary was posted in the Star Tribune. On Friday, October 28, we will have her memorial services at the Washburn McReavy Funeral Home at Hillside Cemetery. Hillside Cemetery - 2600 19th Ave NE, Minneapolis, MN 55418.https://www.google.com/maps/dir/?api=1&destination=2610+19th+Avenue+N.E.%2c+Minneapolis%2c+MN+55418%2c+US 

We will have an informal gathering beginning at 12:30 for those who may want to visit and be in community. The service will be at 1:30. Afterward, we will be going to Axel's Restaurant in Roseville for light appetizers. My mom sure did love a happy hour. Please reach out with any questions about the services - Nina 612-695-1288
