I am so sorry for your łoss. Your dad was larger than life. He lit up a room when he walked into it. He will be missed by so many people. I could always count on your father to lighten the mood with a good joke. There will never be another man quite like him, and his memory will live on forever

This world was such a better place to have had Ira in it. In 1983, upon returning from my stint in the Army, I was hired to answer the Customer Assistance Phone for the New England Zone Of Oldsmobile Division. In an industry that was owned by domestic manfacturers and dealer networks, customers were lost in the big three's battle for sales and profit supremacy. (This climate led to some tough but needed lemon laws to teach manufacturers to take care of our customers) Ira Oldsmobile of Danvers was a different drummer. They were right at the top of the vehicle and service sales lists, but also were at the top of the Customer Satisfaction Index list - this was almost unheard of from a volume dealer. No high powered consultants or secret formulas caused this, it all stemmed from the humanity and genuine respect Ira had for all people. A real family man, (for years he had his elderly father sitting at a desk right beside him in his office) his friends and relations were everything to him. Goodbye Ira, thank you for all you did for my company. The world lost a real mensch this week

My daughter got her first car, a Mazda Miata, from Ira in 1993. Twenty-six years later the car is still adored and it still shines. I think Ira would like that...
My deepest sympathies to the family.

David,
It was so sad to hear that your dad has passed away. He was such a great presence and really commanded a room. To me he was the ultimate entrepreneur and a great leader. I hope you and your family are. doing well. I haven’t work for you and your family for over 25 years but I still think of my time working for the Rosenberg Family as some of my favorite years. Take care .
