So….  Today I had what may be my last and 16th weekly treatment of chemo and steroids!   Tomorrow, I will have another bone marrow biopsy that will depict whether I am set to move toward stem cell transplant….  I’m ready.  The biggest challenge of my life, but I thrive on challenges.  I laugh as I state that because I will be far from “thriving” but I’m ready.  Have my follow up appointment July 1 so will keep you updated.  I will take all the prayers you have to offer!!!   I truly hand this whole situation over to the Lord!!!  🙏🏻🙏🏻🥰🥰🎉🎉

Day 86:   Today was my 13th treatment and today Rebelle Rally featured my truck #113 on their Instagram page!!!   13 is my lucky number.  Maybe it’s a good day to order new numbers for the GT4-just to stay in theme.  Lol.   Overall, I feel ok.   The weekly treatments are taking their toll as I fall sound asleep for hours in the day now.  Met with oncology today as well and pushed them to get my stem cell collection and stem cell transplant scheduled quickly after my last weekly treatment on June 17.  They did schedule the bone marrow biopsy for next day.  Lol.  The 18th.  That process will knock for a loop for about 3 months -I said perfect timing because there’s a 2 day auto cross event in Tucson end of October and I really need some seat time in the GT4.  We will see but you all know I’ll push to get back in all my stuff!!!  I’m going to also upload a Memorial Day photo from Spring Nats from 2 years ago-Flag on our rv and 3 great American made cars and even better friends.  🥰🥰  Happy Memorial Day weekend to all.  I am so very thankful to be an American!!! ❤️🤍💙

Day 64...  I have started my count down...  6 more of these weekly treatments then moving a major step closer to me getting to start rebuilding my health and strength, getting back to spending joyous time with my family and friends, playing with all the toys!!!  🎉🎉. I am very blessed.  But...   missing my mother on this first Mother’s Day without her.  👼💞.

Day 57:   Another beautiful day in Scottsdale and I am half way done with my weekly chemo/steroid treatments! 🎉🎉. Then I will get another bone marrow biopsy and other assessments to move toward stem cell transplant which will keep all this nonsense in remission longer.  I do need to force myself to walk everyday no matter how fatigued I am.  My goal.  All my friends are racing-on and off road!!  It is so fun for me to follow along.  I may try to get out in Storm - my GT4-tomorrow.  If not, soon.  That is always a thrill for me even though I can’t experience where she is most happy (triple digit speeds) on the streets.    🙂🙂

Day 49 update...  just plugging along.  Met with cardiologist last week and nephrologist today.  Will see oncologist in 2 weeks. I cannot say enough about my Mayo team!  My doctors know how much I thrive on measurable and positive results so I will try to share a photo of a comment my nephrologist added to the notes he wrote to me!🙂 They are amazing in every sense of the word, and the Lord has truly blessed me! I probably win the award for most questions and my desire to do all I can to regain the most I can. I have accepted that I will never be 100% but I know I will be back racing my car and hitting trails in my bad ass truck “Red Fred”, in my super fun can am and on my very cool mountain bike! Onward and upward!! 💙🙏🏻🎉🙂

Two entries in one day but this is too exciting not to share... Omg.  This is amazing!!!  2/15 my lambda free light chains were 14.3 when they should be less than 2.63.  Yesterday after just 3 treatments, they were in range at 2.22!!  I am sooo excited to see some measurable results!!! 🎉🎉. This is the multiple myeloma and maybe the amyloidosis too !!

Day 23...Well making some progress. Was able to get showered and dressed yesterday without having to rest in between for the first time since November!  Woohoo!! 🤣 and... today I hope to drive home to Flagstaff for a few days and even stop in Sedona to see some good friends and their new pup!!  Had a bit of a challenge last week with some side effects the incredible Mayo docs had never seen before...just keeping them on their toes and trying to make an impression...  lol.  A bunch of my off road rally friends registered for the 2023 Rallye Gazelle event in MOROCCO 🎉🎉 I was soooo tempted but actually am choosing to wait as that sounds like it’s a long way out but I’d have to be testing and training a ton soon.  I may just have to ask my medical team’s opinion when I see all the docs in the next couple of weeks.  Regardless, it will be awesome following my Rebelle Rally friends!!!  Hope this finds all of you well.  We’ve got a family wedding to celebrate in April, a new baby on Jims side coming soon and .... a BIG birthday for Jim April 13!   💯🥰

Day 8...   second treatment in the books and I really felt pretty good - relatively speaking- yesterday and so far today. Tuesday -5 days after my first treatment-was awful.  Wonder if that bad day may come earlier as these drugs build up in my system..time will tell.  My dear mother passed away on Sunday which is devastating and a shock to me.  God blessed me with the need for me to live with her for 3 weeks December into January...   I’d get her all cozy in bed each night, kiss her on her forehead and she’d put both hands on my face and tell me how much she loved me.  God knew it was going to be the last possible moment I could travel to Chicago given what He knew was coming down the pipeline for me. He created this need that got me on the next flight out.  Those moments are some of my very cherished times with my mother!👼💞🙏🏻  And ... that’s not even the God story I still need to share!   I love seeing everyone out and about playing, enjoying the outdoors and gathering with friends and family so keep sharing those things!!!  They make me smile!!  Thank you all for YOU!!!
